With its self-developed high-performance servo motor, CyberDog has a wide range of movements including running, jumping, turning, and leaning forward.
Xiaomi just released an unusual product, namely CyberDog. This is robot a four-legged robot dog named Spot made by Boston Dynamic. CyberDog is powered by the artificial Jetson Xavier NX AI supercomputer Nvidia for Embedded and Edge Systems paired with a 128GB industrial-grade SSD. Its supercomputer comes with AI 21 TOPS performance.
There are a large number camera, microphone, and sensor on the head of the robot that provides spatial perception so that it is claimed to be comparable to humans. The sensors include an AI camera, an ultra-wide camera, and Intel’s RealSense D450 depth camera module that helps the robot achieve centimeter-scale obstacle avoidance and navigation. It also has SLAM mapping and auto tracking.
Reported from Gizmochina (11/8), CyberDog can be controlled in 3 ways: via phone app, voice control, and remote control. Only a handful of Xiaomi phones including the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, Redmi K40, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi 10X, and Mi Mix 2S are currently supported. Xiaomi says compatibility for more devices will be added in the future.
With its self-developed high-performance servo motor, CyberDog has a wide range of movements including running, jumping, turning, and leaning forward. He can also do backflips, roll over, and stand on his hind legs. This robot has a walking speed of up to 3.2 meters per second (11.52 km / h) and is able to carry a load of 3 kg.
Xiaomi’s XiaoAI system is embedded in the robot and can be used to control compatible smart home appliances such as TVs, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and air purifiers. The price for the Xiaomi CyberDog is 9,999 yuan (Rp 22.2 million). For comparison, the Spot robot from Boston Dynamic sold for $74,500 (Rp1 billion). Of course there are significant technological differences between the two robots.
