The WRC calendar turned upside down again!

Only a few hours after a new update validating the integration of Ypres as a direct replacement for Japan from November 19 to 22, the calendar is about to undergo a new upheaval.

According to our information, the rally in Germany, held from October 15 to 18, will be canceled in the coming days. Despite several scenarios studied and in particular the one mentioned to confine the course to the military camp of Baumholder, the organizers finally opted for the cancellation.

Since mid-June and the ban pushed back until the end of October to organize massive events in Germany, the fate of the Germanic event has often been called into question.

The uncertainty linked to the health crisis and the impossibility of welcoming the public, however essential in the budget of the event, therefore forced the ADAC and its event to join the list of cancellations in 2020. After Argentina, the Portugal, Kenya, Finland, New Zealand, Great Britain and Japan, Germany are added to the sadly long list of cancellations linked to the health crisis.

At the same time, Sardinia, whose postponement was validated from its summer date to the last weekend of October, will be moved again. In the game of musical chairs, the Italian island will be brought forward by two weeks to recover the weekend from its German colleague.
