Bojack Horseman did a lot of bad things in his life, but there are some special moments that changed his story and the direction of the series.
Despite being one of television’s favorite antiheroes, the character had questionable moral radar and there were times when he crossed his own line.
Raid on his old mansion
After the financial problems of not getting any paper, Bojack had to sell his mansion, but he forgot that it was no longer his.
On a night of excess, Bojack returned to the mansion, broke in, destroyed everything in his path and ended up with an overdose in the pool.
Although it is a sad event for the horse’s life, it does not take away the fact that it was something bad and it was the straw that broke the camel’s back to send him to jail.
Sabotaged Todd’s presentation
One of Bojack’s unforgivable actions is to have sabotaged Todd’s rock opera performance that may have changed his fate.
Todd found something he was passionate about and talented at, but Bojack couldn’t deal with his departure, so he distracted him with a video game so he wouldn’t prepare for his presentation.
The party with Penny
In one of his crises, Bojack fled to New Mexico to search for his old friend Charlotte, who accepts him as a temporary member of her family.
Bojack developed a special bond with Penny, Charlotte’s daughter, and accompanied her to her prom with a couple of friends.
The horse was in charge of getting them alcohol, regardless of whether they were minors, and a friend of Penny’s ended up in the hospital without Bojack being responsible.
Also, that night Bojack was about to have sex with Penny, but Charlotte heard noises on the yacht and interrupted them.
Chase Penny
Bojack is haunted by the incident with Penny and constantly wonders what would have happened if Charlotte hadn’t interrupted.
Although Penny got over the incident, Bojack thinks he left her scarred for life and goes to her university to spy on her along with Sarah Lynn.
Bojack’s visit caused a disaster at Penny’s school and revived the old wounds of Charlotte’s daughter.
Sleeping with emily
Despite the fact that Todd was unconditionally for Bojack throughout the series, his hair betrayed him on more than one occasion and one of them was with Emily, Todd’s ex-girlfriend and best friend.
Bojack slept with Emily and they kept the secret for some time, but Emily’s discomfort became apparent and she preferred to get away from Todd.
Upon learning, Todd changed his attitude forever with Bojack and away from him, realizing that he is not as good a friend as he thought.
Strangle Gina
The fifth season of the series portrayed Bojack’s addiction to Vicodin and the consequences. One of them was attacking Gina, his co-star of the series Philberyou and girlfriend in real life.
In a mental breakdown, Bojack hanged Gina in front of the series’ cameras, causing the show to be canceled.
In a difficult moment to take in, Gina asks Bojack not to confess his actions because he didn’t want to live forever with the label of ‘the girl who was strangled by Bojack Horseman’.
The death of Sarah Lynn
Sarah Lynn was in rehab when Bojack sought her out to party and relapsed into addiction.
After several weeks of excesses, Sarah Lynn died of an overdose at the planetarium due to a type of heroin called Bojack in the series.
In addition to giving her the drug, Bojack concealed Sarah Lynn’s death and called the police 17 minutes after realizing that she was unconscious saying that he found her there after a call so that he would not be blamed for her death.
Sarah Lynn’s death is something that haunts him throughout the series and, in the end, is one of the reasons he gets canceled forever from Hollywood.
