Sith even Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo leaning over the chessboard, there is no doubt that we are witnessing a historic turning point. Last fall, just before the Qatari World Cup, we saw the two greatest footballers of the 21st century sitting opposite each other, looking pensive. The pieces were placed on a beige suitcase with a characteristic Louis Vuitton design. The snap was from Annie Leibovitz, who photographed them separately, as the Argentinian and the Portuguese didn’t play against each other, and didn’t even meet. It is thanks to a digital montage that the famous American photographer created this advertising composition.
