According to the state-run Global Times on the 22nd, Chongqing Zoo confirmed that Xinxing, the world’s longest panda, died at noon on the 8th, 38 years and 4 months after birth.

Earlier, Xinxing received the 38th fruit birthday cake at the Chongqing Zoo in August, and received great attention from Weibo and others.

It is reported that Xinxing suffered from shortness of breath, coughing, abdominal swelling, and constipation due to rapidly deteriorating health after showing signs of loss of appetite at the end of October.

The Chongqing Zoo determined that Xin Xing died due to complications such as hypoproteinemia and digestive problems due to old age.

Xinxing was born in the wild in Sichuan Province in 1982, and after being transported to the Chongqing Zoo in June 1983, he has been the love of the Chinese people.

Xinxing, a female, has given birth to more than 150, and has descendants of pandas throughout China, the United States, Canada and Japan.

In the wild, pandas live around 20 years, and in zoos around 25 years. Shin Xing lived a long life over 100 years old.
