The famous Serbian actress Branka Veselinovic, who last year was declared the oldest actress in the world and the oldest resident of the Serbian capital Belgrade, died today at the age of 105, Euronews Serbia reported.
Veselinovic was born in the Serbian town of Becej in 1918 and has appeared in over 100 films and theater productions. She spoke several languages and was a UNICEF ambassador, adds BTA.
The actress was declared an honorary resident of the cities of Belgrade and Novi Sad in Serbia. She was also an officer in the fire department.
“I have always worked without the desire to be decorated with big titles. Everything I do, I do it with great love and honor,” says Veselinovic.
