The world’s largest wind turbine is a fact. It is located off the coast of the eastern Chinese province of Fujian and produces 16 megawatts of current, or 1 megawatt more than the largest model of the Danish Vestas. It is connected to the country’s power grid.
The length of the propellers is 132 meters, which significantly exceeds a football field. The area that the three propellers of the blade cover when rotating is 50 acres, which is also a record.
The turbine’s capacity is to power 36,000 households, each consisting of three people.
