In October we unveiled the world’s first iPhone with a USB-C port. Unfortunately this is not a product developed by Apple itself, it is an iPhone X modified by the youtuber Ken Pillonel.
He took the device that has a Lightning port, and managed to put a working USB-C port on it, which can be used for charging or data transfer. Now put the terminal up for sale.
iPhone X with USB-C port up for auction on eBay until November 11
This Swiss robotics student showed the world what he can do. And now the equipment is being auctioned on the eBay platform. So if you want to try your purchase, you can do it within the next eight days.
The auction in question will last until the next 11th of November. But getting this piece of history will be way more expensive than buying a “normal” iPhone. At the time of writing this article, its value is already in the 4050 dollars.
As described on eBay, this is an iPhone X in black with 64 GB of capacity. This one may already have some signs of use, but it is fully functional as it was designed. The box does not have accessories included, and the seller promises free shipping anywhere in the world.
A detail to take into account is that whoever bids the smartphone undertakes “not to reset, update or delete the data included” in this iPhone. Also, the device cannot be opened or used as a daily smartphone.
It is guaranteed that the smartphone will be functional when received, but if the instructions are not followed this may not happen. It is a prototype, and that is what interested parties will have to take into account before bidding.
