“Sir Elon Musk realized many ideas and thoughts that we wanted to realize, but were not achieved because after the breakup of the Soviet Union, our space program was suspended for some time. We respect him as organizers of the space industry and as inventors who are not afraid to take risks,” he said.
Earlier in August, the head of Roscosmos tweeted a message urging Musk to visit Russia’s main launch site in Kazakhstan. Now, Rogozin says he wants to discuss how SpaceX and Russia can use space to preserve life on Earth.
