The “green pass” system will operate again in Israel, BTA reported.
This was decided today by the Israeli headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, taking into account the growing number of coronavirus infected in Israel. To attend events with more than a hundred people from all Israelis aged 12 and over will require proof of a vaccine against COVID-19, covid disease or a negative coronavirus test.
The measure will be applied for sports and cultural events, as well as in gyms, restaurants, conference halls, places of prayer and more.
It is expected to be approved by the government and take effect within a week.
The “green pass” was introduced in Israel in February, but after a significant reduction in new cases, most restrictions were lifted.
Recently, the number of infected has begun to increase. The reason for this is thought to be the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus. More than 56 percent of Israelis have received two doses of the covid vaccine.
