Singer Fred Caramia will come to Espace Mayenne in Laval (Mayenne), Friday March 8, 2024, to present The World of Queen. He tells us more about this show which, for years, has shared the legendary legacy of star Freddie Mercury and the group Queen, across the four corners of Europe.
What should audiences expect for The World of Queen on March 8, 2024?
It’s a show built with my brother Alexandre. We pay tribute to Freddie Mercury with a show featuring around twenty hits from the group Queen. The show features lots of effects, images of the singer and light shows.
Not too complicated to tackle Queen’s repertoire?
I’ve always loved rock. When I was young, I listened to Bon Jovi, Scorpions and Aerosmith. I discovered Queen in 1991, when Freddie Mercury died. I have always practiced music, I perfected my singing. In 2006, we created this tribute tribute. This type of group was then very little developed in France. Since then, our show has grown.
What do you remember about singer Freddie Mercury?
I like her voice, which goes from lyrical rock to feminine. He has a very large vocal range which appealed to me. On stage, soprano Claire Lairy who is a lyric singer, joins us in particular for the song Barcelona that Freddie Mercury performed with Montserrat Caballé.
