MOSCOW, KOMPAS.TV – Although he considers the G20 Group important, being removed from the forum will not be a big problem for the Russian Federation. This was revealed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Pekov, Friday (25/3/2022).
Previously, the President of the United States (US) Joe Biden suggested that Russia be removed from the G20. But Biden acknowledged that a number of other countries did not agree with the move.
“The G20 Forum is indeed important. But on the other hand, under current conditions, when most of the forum participants are in a state of economic war with us, on their own initiative, no fatal problems will occur,” Peskov told reporters in Moscow, quoted from TASS.

“However, Russia remains guided by the opinions of other participants in this forum and will be ready, if possible, to take part in it,” Peskov stressed.
The Kremlin spokesman reiterated that if Russia’s participation in the G20 is no longer possible, nothing fatal will happen.
“It’s clear, under conditions when all the rules of the WTO (international trade organization), international law are being violated, we need to build a new kind of relationship in all areas. That’s what we will do,” concluded Peskov.
Kremlin officials noted that the US has been aggressive in continuing its policy of isolating Russia.

“Until now, this pathway could only be partially effective. The world is still much more diverse than the US and European countries,” the Russian president’s press secretary said.
