In Brazil, more than half of the population is black or mixed race. Despite everything, racism is still very present in the country. In the past, this state of affairs has prompted many Brazilian women to straighten their hair in response to so-called “European” beauty models. Today, however, things are starting to change and some of them are starting what is called a “hair transition”. Through this approach, women enhance their natural hair.
