Beirut: He said Najib Mikati, head of the Lebanese interim government On Monday, the World Food Program agreed to allocate $5.4 billion to assist Lebanon over the next three years, following a meeting with the program director.
Mikati added that half of the aid will go to the Lebanese, while the other half will go to Syrian refugees, more than a million of whom live in Lebanon.
The WFP office in Lebanon could not yet be reached for comment.
