The World First race remains exciting – Echo is leading

The European guild Echo has the lead in the race for the First Kill in World of Warcraft. But the Americans are following suit.

The “World First Race” is currently taking place in World of Warcraft, in which the most successful guilds in the world try to defeat Sylvanas Windrunner in the Sanctum of Dominion as the first on mythical difficulty. The “usual suspects” cavort in the first places – but America has lost its lead in time.

America had a lead, but it lost it: As usual, the Americans started the race a few hours earlier because the maintenance work is taking place earlier. The Limit guild was able to kill 5 of the 10 bosses before the European guilds could even start. Limit had to lose the lead quickly, however, because Echo overtook her at the 6th boss and also killed the 7th immediately afterwards. You can see the kill video for the guardian of the first here (the pull starts at approx. 37:17:30):

Limit was not inactive, however, and had organized “split raids” during that time in order to equip the characters a little better and thus be able to perform better in the coming battles.

Which boss are the guilds hanging on at the moment? Most of the big guilds like Big Dumb Gaming, Method or Pieces are still attached to the pain maker Raznal. But it is also generally considered a real “wall” and has slowed down many guilds on normal and heroic levels, on mythical difficulty it has a few more mechanics that end immediately fatal and do not allow any errors.

The current best guilds have meanwhile defeated 7 out of 10 bosses and taken up the fight with Fate Writer Roh-Kalo. Only Echo and Limit have reached the 8th boss and are currently in a race there. The official “leadership” is currently still echoed (via wowprogress.com), because they were the first to defeat the Forge of Sorrows and the Guardian of the First, before Limit followed suit a few hours later.

Only 2 bosses separate the professional guilds from the finale with Sylvanas Windläufer. It seems like the race for the world first kill is going to be really exciting again this time. Perhaps a few more guilds will join in the next few hours and be able to overcome the painter’s smith …

Are you following the race for the World First Kill? Or does that leave you completely cold?
