Square Enix briefly announced that the stylish The World Ends with You will become a anime. Its presentation was due to take place during Anime Expo 2020, a physical event postponed for the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason the animated series will be presented during the Anime Expo Lite, an event via streaming to be held from 3 to 4 July 2020.
The World Ends with You (Subarashiki Kono Sekai in Japanese) is a Japanese action role-playing game developed by Square Enix in 2007 for Nintendo DS. The game would arrive in 2008 in the west. The World Ends with You is famous for both the storyline and gameplay, but also for it style very particular of the graphics of the environments and the characters. That make it a kind of Square Enix Person.
The game arrived in 2012 on iOS with a Remix version, which in 2014 was also available for Android. In 2018 it was the turn of the Final Remix for Nintendo Switch. This is our review of The World Ends with You: Final Remix.
