PT Nikomas Gemilang offers voluntary resignation or resignation to employees following global economic conditions. World brand shoe manufacturer located in Serang has offered resignations to 1,600 workers.

He said 2022 should be the recovery year for the athletic footwear industry. However, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the global increase in fuel prices, inflation, falling orders and various international factors have contributed to the drastic decline in the sports shoe market. Including commodity prices which continue to rise.
According to him, this condition has also impacted sports shoe companies, including PT Nikomas Gemilang. For the sake of the company’s continuity, this offer, he said, was made with a very heavy heart.
According to him, the company has made various efforts, starting from stopping the acceptance of new employees, abolishing overtime to reducing working hours. This was done by society for the sake of salvation.
“We’ve done various things like stop hiring, no overtime, reduced working hours and special leave programs, but we can’t help it and with a heavy heart we have to implement a voluntary resignation program,” he explained.
However, his party explained that all rights of employees participating in this program were paid according to labor law and collective labor agreements. “We hope PT Nikomas can overcome this difficulty and get back on his feet,” she concluded.
