/ world today news/ The World Bank noted an improvement in the situation in the field of state regulation of business in Russia over the past two years, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday (May 24), referring to a conversation with Rita Ramleau during the Doing conference Business with BRICS in Washington.
“There (in Russia) there is an improvement in the situation with the regulation of entrepreneurial business. Efforts have been made to simplify business regulation over the past 2 years. We see this in the numbers. Business processes became faster. The process of paying taxes, for example, has become simpler and faster,” noted Rita Ramleau.
To a clarifying question, how exactly this simplification is reflected in the figures of the country’s economy, Ramleau replied that it is too early to talk about the impact, but what can be expected for a start is an increase in the number of startups and the creation of new jobs “.
“We have seen this in other countries that have gone through these reforms,” the World Bank representative continued.
Earlier, the director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Suma Chakrabarti, indicated a six-month deadline for the recovery of the growth of the Russian economy. Chakrabarti pointed out that Russia’s economy is currently going through difficult times due to sanctions and low oil prices, but it is expected to emerge from the recession in about half a year.
