During his speech at the conference of heads of parliaments of the European Union states, Simonyan said that “the focus of the conference is on the issue of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the Middle East conflict”, he would like to confirm that Armenia “resolutely defends the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as Moldova, Georgia, Cyprus and all countries”.

In addition, he stated that Russia is organizing a campaign of threats and disinformation.

“It causes concern that many officials of the Russian government dare to dictate the interests of Armenia and speak on behalf of the Armenian people. A clear example of what has been said is the hybrid attack of Russia and Azerbaijan on Armenia, connected with the trilateral meeting that took place on April 5 in Brussels, in which the Prime Minister of Armenia, the head of the European Commission and the US Secretary of State will participate,” Simonyan said.

The head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, said that Simonyan “crossed all the red lines” with his statements.

“I would like to ask my colleague, the head of the Parliament of Armenia, a question: on whose behalf did he voice such stories? Certainly not on behalf of the Armenian people, with whom Russia has age-old friendship. We cannot ignore such Russophobic statements,” she said. .

Matviyenko also instructed the senators to prepare and send a request to the Armenian parliament in connection with the “anti-Russian” statements of the speaker of the Armenian parliament.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that The Kremlin may be preparing a hybrid war against Armenia.

In addition, we previously informed that Russian so-called “peacekeepers” began to leave Karabakh.
