So far in the 2024/25 harvest, a volume has been offered that is 19.7% lower than the previous harvest (466,714 bales versus 581,277 in 2023/24).
AWEX reported a selective market, with price support in 18 micron and finer wools, with more style and free of Mulesing. And downward adjustments in wools with resistance results below 40 N/ktex or vegetable content above 1.8%.
The weekly supply of wool was somewhat lower: a total of 34,460 bales92% were sold.
In Sydney, 4,636 bales of Merino fleece wool with an average of 18.44 microns and 1.6% vegetable content were offered.
In Melbourne, the supply of 11,436 bales had averages of 18.98 microns and 1.4% vegetables. The main buyers of fleece wool Merino fueron Techwool Trading (16,8 %), PJ Morris Wools (16,1 %) y Tianyu Wool (13,2 %) y Endeavour Wool Exports (10,1%).
For next week, there will be activity on Tuesday and Wednesday in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle. A somewhat higher supply is expected: 41,535 bales registered, according to AWEX. (SUL Report).
