The Women’s Major League kicked off with matchday 1 of the Clausura 2024 tournament that left hot matches such as the victory that Jocoro beat Municipal Limeño, as well as Isidro Metapán against 11 Deportivo and Alianza Women against Platense.
The current champions of the Women’s League, Alianza Women, started the first round of the tournament in a good way with a 4-1 win over the Platense team, thanks to a double from Maggie Segovia and a goal from Jennifer Flores and Keyla Lino.
Another of the goals of the date was the one that Jocoro gave to Municipal Limeño, who with half a dozen goals added the first three points of the tournament. Ingrid Vanessa scored for the fire team, with a poker of goals, and Dámaris Quelez, with a double.
Another team that matched Jocoro was Isidro Metapán, who also conceded six goals to 11 Deportivo in their debut. Estefani Yaneth Sotelo and Jennifer Contreras were in charge of this score with a hat trick each.
In the remaining matches, Águila, in the Migueleño derby, beat Dragon 2-1, Santa Tecla tied with the FAS Tigrillo club 1-1 and Firpo beat the strong San Francisco 2-0.
