2024 will be a year of celebrations for the Forum Gallery because in December of this year they celebrate their Golden Anniversary. Since they opened in 1974, it began to be part of the history of the plastic arts in Peru, because among other things, its main mission is to promote and support emerging artists.
Among the celebrations that will take place on February 17, there is the now traditional Art Night on Kapala Beach. This event that brings together vacationers from the southern beaches of Lima, celebrates 25 years since Carmela Evans, a member of the Forum staff, had the brilliant and daring idea of removing the works of art from block 11 of Larco Avenue. .
For Art Night, a large tent is set up and a large exhibition is held with around 150 works of art. Within the exhibition is the wall of established artists. The well-known, the fashionable and “those who offer to participate” share the scene under a responsible curatorship like what the women of Forum can do. “There is something for all tastes,” they tell us.
On this occasion, eight works by the artists Denise Mulanovich, María Gracia de Losada, Melissa Larrañaga, Marcos Palacios, Carolina Bazo Miguel Ángel Velit Alejandra Bambarén, Paolo Vigo will be raffled among attendees.
