Returning to the question of the official security and health sources, they completely denied these allegations, confirming that there are no injuries or women with this condition in the areas of Sheikh Zayed and October, or even the existence of reports in this regard or security monitoring.
Upon researching the veracity of what was circulated in this regard, it became clear that these allegations are not true, and that they are part of a series of rumors that are promoted from time to time to cause panic or increase wealth and follow-ups to pages, most of which are fake.
Who is behind the threatening messages on the groups?
Engineer Walid Haggag, an expert in information systems and security, says that rumors circulate widely from time to time regarding similar incidents, due to the desire of their promoters to increase viewing rates in order to obtain sums of money in exchange for that. He explained in statements to Cairo 24 that these rumors may cause panic and anxiety to citizens. .
Hajjaj called for the need for the security services to monitor those who create and spread these rumours, as well as to respond immediately to them and reveal their circumstances and deny them in a timely manner so that citizens are not affected by them and the purpose of their spread is achieved.
The information security expert pointed out that the people who receive these rumors are divided into three categories: between people who believe them and re-publish them, others who doubt their authenticity and spread them in order to receive a response that reveals their truth to them, and a third group who notices their spread and imagines that they are true due to their widespread spread, so they adopt a viewpoint. It seems real and others completely ignore it due to their increased awareness.
The Ministry of Interior denies warning citizens about the existence of a gang forming to steal homes
Earlier, the Ministry of the Interior issued a statement denying the existence of a gang formation to rob houses, as the security services monitored the circulation of a false statement attributed by rumor mongers to the Ministry on social networking sites, which included a warning to citizens against tightly closing the doors of their homes and not using elevators with any stranger under the pretext of the existence of a formation. A gang whose members claim to be affiliated with a water company, or to be workers who change light bulbs for free, and they rob houses at gunpoint.
The security examination of the Ministry of the Interior confirmed that these allegations are not true, and that what is being circulated in this regard is old and has previously been denied and its truth clarified, as it was previously circulated on social media sites several years ago in a number of Arab countries.
The Ministry confirmed that the relevant authorities in those countries denied these allegations, and legal measures were taken against those spreading these rumours.
And what is being circulated by social media users is a representative video clip and audio recording of a woman warning the people of the Sheikh Zayed area, in 6th of October City, about a woman with disheveled hair, roaming the streets with a sharp tool that injures children and running away, and that there are deaths in Sheikh Zayed General Hospital. Responsible medical sources denied the truth of these allegations, which are being promoted, and denied that the hospital had received any cases of children injured by a sharp object during the recent period.
