The woman who was brutally beaten by her 40-year-old husband in Plovdiv has died

The woman admitted to a Plovdiv hospital after a severe beating by her husband has died, the prosecutor’s office confirmed to “24 Hours”. She suffered injuries incompatible with life. Her 40-year-old husband, Angel Zahariev, who has a criminal record, was detained already on Friday. He has confessed to his act.

The brutal beating was reported on Thursday around 2:30 p.m., and the victim was taken to the hospital in a helpless state.
The prosecutor’s office is expected to reclassify the act into murder. The district court, which hears the measure, left the bully in custody.

“We will necessarily appeal,” said Zahariev’s lawyer Rositsa Draginova.
