Brian Hamilton has been Vancouver’s materials manager since the early 2000s and earlier in the season, in connection with Seattle’s home premiere in the NHL, he received a message that would change his life.
A doctor sitting right behind the player booth discovered a stain on his neck and she did everything to get his attention.
– I walked past her a few times in the player booth during a period break and finally saw that she held up her phone to the glass with a text. It said that the spot I had on my neck was cancer, says Hamilton.
The next day he told his wife what had happened and it was also behind the fact that he chose to get help from the team doctor.

The stain turned out to be skin cancer – and before tonight’s match when the teams met again in Seattle, Vancouver went out with a call.
– When we arrived, the message was sent out on social media and when we had unpacked everything, I was told that we had found her. I have a wonderful family and a wonderful daughter and she extended my life, says Hamilton.
Last night, Hamilton met the woman, named Nadia, in an emotional meeting.
When the match began, she was also surprised by the news that Vancouver and Seattle jointly decided to give her $ 10,000 to pay for her studies.
The internet community helped us find Brian’s hero, Nadia, and tonight they met in person where he got to express his sincerest thank you to her for saving his life.
