Around the year 2000, Britney and Justin were a happy young couple. Both had just come of age and suddenly, Spears became pregnant. Media TMZ, citing several sources close to Spears, writes that Timberlake persuaded her to have an abortion, which the singer did.
Spears believed at the time that Timberlake was the love of her life, according to TMZ. When she found out that she was pregnant, the musician wanted to keep the baby because that was her faith. “I loved Justin very much and hoped that one day we would be a family. But everything happened faster than planned,” Spears writes in the book.
Timberlake, on the other hand, is said to have believed that they are not yet ready for a child and that both are too young. Spears initially resisted such a decision, but in the end, after “difficult and emotional” discussions, the two agreed on an abortion.
The two were together in the period from 1999 to 2002, and during this time, Spears was convinced that everything was serious between the two and wanted to get married. Despite the fact that the two chose not to keep the child, this difficult decision is said to have haunted Britney for many years.
Britney has two sons – 17-year-old Jaden and 18-year-old Sean.
