Early lead, quick equalization, deficit at the break – the first half was tough for VfL. The lightning equalizer after the break was followed by two more goals, the connection goal shortly before the end of regular time promised again high tension. However, Wolfsburg did not score any more and suffered its fourth defeat of the season.
