The Witcher Season 3 will premiere later this month on Netflix. The streaming service has therefore now shown the first trailer for the new season during the Summer Game Fest.
New actor for The Witcher
Since the publication von The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt delighted itself the Franchise greater popularity. Not only have new games been announced by CD Projekt RED, but Netflix has also fully relied on the fantasy series. So we got an animated film, a prequel series and of course The Witcher series itself starring Henry Cavill.
The latest season starring the famous actor as Geralt of Rivia is about to start. Netflix has already announced that the first part will hit theaters on June 29th. The second part of Season 3 will then continue on July 27th.
So it’s high time for the first trailer for The Witcher Season 3, which the streaming service showed last night at the Summer Game Fest. In the trailer, we see Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), Ciri (Freya Allan) and Jaskier (Joey Batey) on their new adventure that follows the events of Season 2. And once again there’s a lot of blood and magic at stake!
After Henry Cavill’s exit, The Witcher isn’t over yet. Netflix has decided to continue the series with a new actor, namely Liam Hemsworth, the younger brother of MCU actor Chris Hemsworth.
Netflix is also obviously convinced of Liam Hemsworth’s acting skills. In fact, Season 5 of The Witcher was greenlit at the end of May, although Season 4 hasn’t started filming yet.
