The surprise concerns the side quest A Song of a Knight’s Heart from the Blood and Wine expansion.
A player named xLetalis discovered that Vivienne de Tabris, whom we meet on a mission, actually only lives for seven years. Let us remind you – Geralt, asked for help by Guillaume de Launfal, meets a noblewoman from Toussaint, who has faced the curse. The woman avoided people and was often in the woods, and every full moon she turned into a bird, a damp.
The White Wolf can help her with the curse, but he warns Vivienne of a terrible consequence: she will only live for another seven years, the same as a real bird. Wishing at all costs to get rid of the stigma, the girl agrees. We can meet her later in Skellige.
The player accelerated the time to find out if the noblewoman dies after the indicated date – the main character of the series may come across her in Yennefer’s room in the Kaer Trolde port. As you can guess, the quest ended with the death of the character.
Philipp Weber, chief quest designer at CD Projekt Red, drew attention to a certain irony of fate: the unusual Easter Egg has been found almost seven years after the premiere of The Witcher 3. During a conversation with IGN journalists, the developer mentioned that this may be the last secret hidden in the production:
“I’m not sure this is the last secret, but it definitely comes pretty close. In the last months of work on the game, everyone hid so many details that people will probably find something new someday. It’s definitely the Easter Egg that I’ve been hiding the most of all I’ve ever made, so it’s quite impressive that it was finally found. ”
The creators of Geralt’s last adventure took care of a variety of flavors, the discovery of which took a lot of time. Let us remind you that the title will be released in the future on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, so many players will probably be happy to return to the improved gameplay.
