The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is facing a new wave of problems on PC after the update

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got a new version and it didn’t run perfectly on release day. In other words, she was very bad at optimization. While it was almost unplayable for many people on PC, it ran decently on consoles. CD Projekt Red has addressed the issue and promised to fix the problem as soon as possible. Current patch 4.01 however, it shows that this is easier said than done. While before this update problems caused by ray tracing could be combated by turning them off, now you can’t help yourself much.

To some extent, the situation is perhaps even worse than before, because with DirectX 12 turned on, the game runs really badly, as shown in the attached video. A return to DirectX 11 is a certain form of salvation for players, but it is definitely not what most players desire. It’s really interesting that the studio still hasn’t been able to optimize its work. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt undoubtedly deserved a better start, so hopefully the creators will be able to deal with the new batch of problems as soon as possible.
