New console and PC editions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be officially launched towards the end of 2022. CD Projekt RED was able to confirm this this week.
The announcement came in the form of a short notice on Twitter. However, the developer could not say exactly when in the fourth quarter of the calendar year we can expect to upgrade The Witcher 3 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Thus, the team seems to have got the upgrade process back on track, after a little round of trouble.
Just over a month ago, CD Projekt announced that it had taken over the development work from an external studio. The new console versions were postponed indefinitely, which quickly created concern among fans. However, the developer promised that there would not be a long wait, and now the goal is for the autumn.
The new editions of The Witcher 3 will, among other things, refurbish the graphics and shorten loading times. CD Projekt has promised a free upgrade that already owns the game on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
CD Projekt is also working on a new The Witcher game.
