The Witcher 3 has mods with long shadows and mission indicators for “unmarked” missions.

Modders MerseyRockoff and KnighTec have released two new mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The first mod adds long shadows to the game, similar to those found in other games like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. On the other hand, the second mod provides all unmarked missions in the game journal entries and goals to complete.

Let’s start with fashion Long shadows, which makes the cascading sun shadows at sunrise and sunset more than double than before. Additionally, the shadows of the terrain have become even longer, allowing the mountains to cast shadows across the entire map. It’s a pretty cool visual update.

As for the second mod, MerseyRockoff explains what an unmarked mission is: it’s a mission like any other, which usually starts with an exclamation point on the map, which gives a reward upon completion, almost always with multiple choices, but none target visible in the log and no log entries. With the mod Events all of these missions will now have both objectives to complete and journal entries to obtain. All possible outcomes are considered and unique entries are written in the diary for each.

The Events mod is 100% retroactive and you can install it in the middle of your current playthrough. It contains over 250 new lines and covers 34 missions.
