The Witcher 3 Fan Mods: Immersive Lighting Mod and Beyond all Limits Ray-Tracing ReShade

If last year’s official next-gen patch for the third Witcher wasn’t enough for you, you can check out a number of fan mods
For example, Immersive Lighting Mod version 2.2 will take the lighting system in the game to a new level
In addition, the game runs in 8K resolution, which enhances the whole experience even more

The Witcher 3 still stands out among open-world games for its excellent graphics, which is doubly true after the release of the next-gen update at the end of last year. However, a large fan community has also improved the popular RPG over the years on their own using all kinds of graphic modifications, thanks to which the game can conjure up truly breathtaking scenery. The proof is a new video from the YouTube channel Digital Dreams, which presents the game in a version with more than a hundred different modifications, and in addition in 8K resolution.

Fan modifications are dominated by Immersive Lighting Mod version 2.2 and Beyond all Limits ray-tracing ReShade. In particular, the first-mentioned modification brings noticeable improvements to the visual side of the game, including more sophisticated scene lighting, especially in locations such as Velen, Skellige and Toussaint, which offer a significantly different experience compared to the original lighting system. After all, you can see the result for yourself in the attached video.

The next-gen patch mentioned in the introduction arrived at the end of last year for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It added a number of new features and practical improvements to the game, including ray-tracing support. Immediately after the release, players complained about technical shortcomings, but the Polish developers finally fixed it with the help of several patch packs, and even added other goodies – for example, support for the Intel XeSS function for PC.
