The Wisdom of Omar Khayyam: Love as a Moral Compass

It’s hard to argue with this idea.

Philosophers of past centuries have left behind a lot of valuable works. And one of the most famous figures of that time was the Persian poet Omar Khayyam. His works are still of interest to readers, and laconic and meaningful phrases have long been scattered into quotes.

The sage was a recognized humanist and valued the spiritual world of man above all else. He could say what in those days they were afraid to even think about, and he always stood up for people, sometimes even rejecting established dogmas. The philosopher also spoke about the relationship of the sexes. Especially interesting is his dictum about treason. Omar Khayyam believed that almost any man could be seduced. However, if he has a beloved woman, then this cannot be done.

It is difficult to argue with this thought, because such a strong feeling will definitely stop a person from terrible stupidity and the destruction of relationships. Otherwise, the man will easily go “to the left.”
