The winners of the stock exchange simulation game come from the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium

Every year in Bavaria alone, over 10,000 playgroups take part in the Sparkassen stock exchange simulation game. Last year, the corona pandemic was unable to slow down the enthusiastic schoolchildren. At Sparkasse Mainfranken Würzburg, among others, 412 teams cheered in 2020. Among them are some tenth grade teams from the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium in Gemünden.

World events were followed for three months, stock exchange prices were studied and the fictitious start-up capital of 50,000 euros was traded under real stock market conditions. The result of the winning team is really impressive: With a final deposit value of 65,287.43 euros, the team of Niklas Hausmann, Torben Reinhart and Jan Herold achieved first place in Mainfranken. At the same time, this was the excellent seventh place in the ?? Bayern rating ?? and in all of Germany 35th place among almost 25,000 rated depots. In addition, they took fifth place at the regional association level in the special rating for sustainability.

This success was recognized at a digital award ceremony at the beginning of March. In his analysis, equity expert Patrick Hartmann from Sparkasse Mainfranken praised the right entry time and holding period as well as the selection of individual stocks (Tesla, OMV, Brembo). Everyone in the winning team received 250 euros as a? Bonus? (there were no real price gains) and a certificate. The sustainability rating brings the school 500 euros for meaningful use.

The ?? Shniggy Gang ?? is enthusiastic: ?? We didn’t think that we would be so successful and have so much fun. The simulation game is a good experience. We will definitely be back next year.
