There it’s finished. After three days at supersonic speed, fifty hours no more to shoot a film, the One Day Film Festival was born seventeen years ago from a brilliant idea by students from the Belfort-Montbéliard University of Technology ( UTBM) fell the curtain on Saturday evening at the Montbéliard theater. In the light of a Cannes-style closing ceremony with red carpet, grand jury and award ceremony.
On the randomly drawn theme of quicksand, the eight competing teams from the Grandes Ecoles of Lille, Paris, Nancy, Nantes, Montbéliard and Toulouse had fifty hours to write, shoot and edit a short film. In the end, a blockbuster that put tremolos in the voice of the jury. Who says closing party, means awards. So what ? So the Chronos d’or – or Grand Prize – is won by the students of Centrale Nantes who also win the public’s favorite prize. The people of Toulouse from JTS (Suparero TV news) stand out with the prize for best screenplay, while the Maneki Media team from Nancy (National School of Systems Engineering and Innovation) wins the photo prize. Long live the 18th edition!
