The winners of the China Science Fiction Awards have been announced – 2024-02-16 00:21:20

/ world today news/ The winners of the 13th Xinyun Awards (or as they are known around the world – the Nebula Awards) for Chinese science fiction were announced on Saturday in the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan.

“The New New Newspaper Press: Shadow of the Enchanted Metropolis,” written by Liang Qingsan, won best novel; “The Eye of Saishuton” by Wanxiang Fannien won the Best Novel Award; and Liang Lin’s Moon Bank was awarded Best Story.

A new award, Star Bridge, was established this year in an effort to encourage those who have contributed to the international promotion of Chinese science fiction. The first prize was awarded to the Chinese and foreign team of publishers and translators who participated in the promotion of The Three Bodies around the world, especially the promotion of the Japanese edition. The Three Bodies is a Hugo Award-winning science fiction novel by renowned Chinese author Liu Tsing.

More than 200 renowned science fiction writers, academics and representatives of related industry associations and media companies took part in the awards ceremony live or online.

The Nebula Awards were established in 2010. and have already become widely recognized global high-level awards for Chinese science fiction and an important window to showcase Chinese science fiction literature and industry development.
