On the evening of Friday, November 12, the final of the reality show “Lauku sēta” was seen on TV6, and Kristaps Breške became the winner of the eighth season of the show, but Aivis Kandavnieks remained in second place.
Three ladies started in the finals of “Lauku sētas” – mathematics teacher Mārīte, influencere Marta and “Lauku sētas” fan Iluta, who won her place in the finals, after returning to the show winning puzzles and speed relay, and two guys and the fiercest competitors – builder Aivis and limbazer Kristaps.
This year’s finals were the most emotionally strenuous and physically challenging ever at the Country Farm, and the competition for victory took place in several stages, each testing the finalists’ physical fitness, mental stamina, ingenuity, and ability to make strategically important decisions under stress.

Marta remained in the last place in the first task and withdrew from the further fight. The second stage of the competition, in which the finalists had to prove their skills on the rope track, as well as searching for treasures in the river and lighting a campfire, turned out to be fatal for Iluta. Emotions prevented her from coping with the first task of the stage, and Iluta decided to give up.
Mārīte did not do very well with the task, and she lost at this stage, which meant that Aivis and Kristaps continued the final competition.
Encouraged and supported by the previously voted participants, Aivis and Kristaps were ready to go to the decisive battle, but before that the show participants finally had the opportunity to get acquainted with the owners of “Tērvete Bay” Ilze and Edmund, who were satisfied and enthusiastic about what they had done when accepting this summer’s work.
Before the last stage of the final competition, Kristaps decided that Aivis is physically stronger as a competitor. The two gentlemen fought in a struggle that tested not only strength but also balance, resilience to stress and knowledge of the Country Farm.
The intense tests ended with the last task, which has already become a tradition in the finals – to find the right key with which to treasure the treasure chest, and in this task the success shone for Kristaps.
Kristaps became the winner of the eighth season of “Lauku sētas” and the main prize – 9,400 euros.-
