The wind fighter was controlled by the Norwegians. The Czechs were missing at the start

At noon, an unpredictable wind of up to nineteen meters per second was constantly spinning at the shooting range. It was so strong that the flags fluttered in a horizontal position from side to side and the fighter brought an incredible number of mistakes, some biathletes went to the penalty round nine times.

Eckhoff set out to wish her fourteenth victory this season, equaling Sweden’s Forsberg 20-year-old record. She was in an ideal position to do so. She set out first, but in a race in which gusts swept after each shooting stop, she found a winner.

She was another Norka Röiseland, who had been waiting for the cup victory since December. “Each item was enormously demanding in that wind. I chose such an offensive tactic, not waiting too long for blows and shooting it fast. I left four targets there, but it paid off, “said the winner

The Slovak Ivona Fialková, who started at the 33rd, could enjoy the seventh place in life at the finish. “It was crazy on the shooting range, but only such conditions allow you to make a good jump in the fighter. Although I circled five times on the penalty round, I can finally be a little satisfied. I was still sprinting for sixth place with Preuss, but my legs were already hardening, “said the Slovak biathlete.

The best shooter of the crazy fighter was Norka Kalkenbergová, who went for only two penalty rounds. This helped her move sixteen places to the fifth position. Her compatriot Knotten, who was thirteenth in the finish and improved by 41 places, became the jumper of the race.

The Czech biathletes, who suffered from intestinal problems the night before Friday’s sprint, did not qualify for the fighter and were missing from its start for the first time this winter. Markéta Davidová is trying to put her health together at least for Sunday’s race with a mass start, for the other members of the national team the season is over.
