The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned countries with an increase in coronavirus infections not to delay the tightening of restrictive measures, DPA reported.

–“The earlier action can be taken, the less action may need to be taken,” said WHO KOVID-19 expert Maria van Kerchow in Geneva.
She pointed out that the now-spreading version of the Delta virus is much more contagious than previous varieties.
Several countries are in a difficult situation and need to take “very strict” measures, said WHO Emergency Health Director Mike Ryan.
The WHO did not name specific countries or comment on the actions of specific governments.
These measures include widespread use of masks, observance of social distance, good ventilation of indoor spaces, avoiding gatherings in small spaces and working from home as much as possible, adds BTA.
