Duel Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid presented in the quarterfinals Copa del Rey. Through extra time, Los Blancos were able to beat Los Colchoneros with a score of 3-1.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid took place at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Friday (27/1/2023) in the morning WIB. Madrid took control of the game at the start and were very aggressive. Even though he was able to press several times, there was no significant threat until the match had run for 10 minutes.

Diego Simeone’s men could threaten in the 17th minute. Angel Correa fired a shot, but the ball still deviated to the left side of the goal which was escorted by Thibaut Courtois.

Atletico made the Madrid fans silent at the Santiago Bernabeau. Alvaro Morata put Atletico 1-0 ahead in the 59th minute after completing Nahuel Molina’s cross.

Entering the 25th minute, Los Blancos threatened through Federico Valverde’s shot, but the ball was still able to anticipate the Atletico goalkeeper, Jan Oblak.

Madrid almost equalized the score in the 57th minute. Karim Benzema fired a curling shot in front of the penalty box, but Oblak was still very quick to ward off the ball.

Atletico had a good chance to increase the advantage. Antoine Griezmann, who escaped from an offside position, dribbled the ball into the penalty box. The ball is then given to the right side, but does not result in a shot.

Madrid managed to equalize the score to 1-1 in the 79th minute. Rodrygo, who came on in the second half, received the ball from Luka Modric in the middle of the field. The Brazilian player then messed up Atletico’s defense and easily struck the ball into Oblak’s goal.

Atletico appear more attacking after conceding. There was a good chance in injury time through Memphis Depay’s shot which Courtois pushed over.

Score draw last until normal time is over. The duel had to be continued to extra time 2 x 15 minutes.

The first half of extra time was hot. There was a dispute between Vinicius Junior and Stefan Savic which resulted in a yellow card for each in the 97th minute.

Two minutes later, Atletico had to play with 10 men. Savic was rewarded with a second yellow card after breaking Eduardo Camavinga.

Real Madrid took a 2-1 lead in the 103rd minute. Karim Benzema listed his name on the scoreboard after being able to take advantage of a cross ball that his partner failed to catch.

Atletico immediately pressed at the start of the second half of extra time. An opportunity wasted by Yannick Carrasco in the 110th minute.

Real Madrid consolidated its victory in injury time. Vinicius Junior contributed a goal after dribbling from the middle of the field and El Real advanced to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey after winning 3-1.
