After Lyon or the Grand Est, the white plan was triggered in hospitals in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur in the face of epidemic pressure from Covid-19, the Regional Health Agency announced on Tuesday, calling on caregivers available to come and lend a hand. The region has an incidence rate of over 420 per 100,000 inhabitants.

After Lyon or the Grand Est, the white plan was triggered in hospitals in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur in the face of epidemic pressure from Covid-19, the Regional Health Agency announced on Tuesday, calling on caregivers available to come and lend a hand. With an incidence greater than 420 per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate greater than 6.5%, “the epidemic dynamics now significantly impact the hospital organizations in the territory”, justified the ARS Paca in a press release.

Adapt “gradually” the organization of hospitals

For example, in Marseille hospitals, 140 patients were hospitalized for Covid-19 on Monday evening, including 36 in intensive care, the AP-HM said on its website. Without speaking of deprogramming, the ARS activated this white plan so that public and private hospital structures “gradually and proportionately adapt their organizations”.

And she launched an appeal “to all voluntary health professionals (students, retirees, liberal, employees …) of the Paca region to come in support of the nursing teams at the hospital”. Last week, the Strasbourg University Hospital and the Colmar and Mulhouse hospitals, in the Grand Est region, launched their white plan. On Monday, the Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL) had followed suit.
