The cause is not an influx of patients with covid, but a dire lack of nursing staff and beds. The white plan therefore makes it possible to redeploy the workforce to deal with a crisis situation.
Lack of staff
As we know, the nursing staff on the front line have been severely affected by the covid crisis, which has led to resignations, sick leaves for burn-out, in particular, not to mention the caregivers suspended for refusing the health pass. .
The management of the Grenoble University Hospital specifies that, for the moment, the activation of this device has no immediate impact within the establishments.

If nothing changes, tomorrow we will not be able to welcome these wounded from the mountains in complete safety. “
In Voiron, the Emergency Department is open this weekend, but it works with doctors who come for a call from outside, because the hospital is struggling to recruit practitioners. Will they be open in 8 days? The white plan was therefore launched to remedy this kind of situation.
