Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Chairman of the DPP Democratic party Didik Mukrianto claimed his cellphone had been direct by a number of parties. This was conveyed through his personal Twitter account Saturday (6/1).
“Dear friends. 3 minutes ago my Whatsapp was hacked by someone. Had sent it to several WA contact numbers with strange messages,” said Didik.
He further appealed to ignore strange or suspicious messages from his WhatsApp account.
He now says he is recovering data to restore the allegedly hacked account.
Contacted separately, the Head of the Democratic Party’s DPP Strategic Communication Agency, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, confirmed the hacking of WhatsApp instant messages belonging to the Chairman of the Democratic Party’s DPP.
“Yes, it is true, his WA account was hacked,” he told CNNIndonesia.com Sunday (7/2).
However, his party was reluctant to comment on the steps to be taken after the discovery of the crime.
Hacking is not the first time in the Democratic Party. Previously, in 2019, the Chairman of the Public Communication Division of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Democratic Party, Imelda Sari, admitted to being a victim of the WhatsApp short message application hacking. ‘Confide’ was conveyed through his personal Twitter account last April.
In her teasing, Imelda just found out her WhatsApp number was hijacked by someone else in the morning.
Chairman of the Legal and Advocacy Division of the Democratic Party, Ferdinand Hutahaean, confirmed this.
Ferdinand said he realized Imelda’s WA number had been used by someone else at 02.00 in the morning. At that time Imelda’s WhatsApp number sent him a private message.
In that short message, Imelda sent out content that attacked him. For example, indecent photos edited by involving him, to screenshots of fake video calls.
