Before these new advances, the conflict in Ukraine was mostly an artillery duel for several months
The new Russian offensive seems to have begun, and in recent days the Russians have steadily entered several key areas of eastern Ukraine, writes the Economic Collapse.
Things seem to be going particularly well for the Russians in northern eastern Ukraine. A breakthrough appears to be developing and it is reported that the Ukrainians are preparing to establish a “new line of defense beyond Kharkiv”. The Russians have clearly gained the upper hand in the conflict, and this has extremely serious consequences.
Before these new advances, the conflict in Ukraine was mostly an artillery duel for several months.
And although the Western powers tried to provide the Ukrainians with enough ammunition, the Russians managed to fire many more shots every day…
Ukraine’s armed forces fire about 6,000 artillery shells a day, far faster than their Western allies can deliver them.
Russia uses up to 20,000 shells a day, which is equivalent to what European factories can produce in a month.
Some experts argue that the gap between the two countries is even greater.
In any case, everyone agrees that the Ukrainians are suffering from a lack of ammo while the Russians just keep pounding them mercilessly.
And now we learn that the Biden administration has decided not to send Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to Ukraine because the US military is “worried it won’t have enough for itself”…
“The Biden administration has given its Ukrainian counterparts another reason not to send them the much-desired long-range missiles: The US is worried it won’t have enough for itself.”
“In recent meetings at the Pentagon, U.S. officials told representatives of Kiev that they had no spare army tactical missile systems, according to four people familiar with the negotiations.”
“Transferring ATACMS to the battlefield in Eastern Europe would reduce America’s stockpiles and harm the readiness of the U.S. military for future combat,” the people said.
Ukraine put up a fierce resistance, but now the writing is on the wall.
The original Ukrainian army that existed at the beginning of the war has by this time almost completely disappeared.
The Ukrainians were able to replace them with even greater force, literally taking Ukrainian men off the street and hiring vast hordes of foreign mercenaries.
And I’ll give you just one guess where the money to pay all those mercenaries came from.
At this point, Ukraine is running out of people to conscript, and they are also running out of foreign mercenaries stupid enough to be sent to the meat grinder in Eastern Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Russians have amassed a force far larger than the one they originally used to invade Ukraine.
So the tide has turned and at this point even mainstream US news outlets are beginning to begrudgingly admit that “Russia is winning”…
USA Today raised some eyebrows when it deviated from the usual narrative by acknowledging that Russia was “bit by bit” winning the ground war in a key area of Ukraine, citing a statement made by a pro-Ukraine spokeswoman.
“The confession is in connection with the battle for the city of Bakhmut in the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine.
Sending a few dozen tanks to Ukraine will not help.
If Western powers are going to win in Ukraine, they will either have to send in NATO troops or they will have to use tactical nuclear weapons against Russian troops in eastern Ukraine.
Of course, either option would almost certainly mean full-scale nuclear war.”
Needless to say, we are now dangerously close to nuclear annihilation. After the world learned that the Biden administration actually blew up the Nord Stream pipelines, the Russians decided to send a message by flying four military jets off the coast of Alaska…
“Four Russian aircraft were detected and intercepted over Alaska’s Air Defense Identification Zone on Monday in what NORAD called a ‘routine’ incident.
Two F-16 fighter jets were dispatched by NORAD to intercept the Russian aircraft, which included a Tu-95 Mechka-X fighter and an Su-35.”
And by the way, the Chinese also sent us a message by sending ships and planes alarmingly close to Taiwan…
“Nearly two dozen Chinese military aircraft and ships were spotted in the Taiwan Strait on Monday morning.
According to the country’s defense ministry, 18 Chinese military aircraft and four ships were spotted – 11 of which crossed the middle line of the disputed buffer zone.
It comes amid heightened tensions in the region — after the US shot down a 200-foot Chinese spy balloon that was caught flying over Montana.”
None of this should have happened.
Unfortunately, the Biden administration has made a series of colossal mistakes over the past two years, and we now stand on the brink of the unthinkable.
Most recently, a French historian made headlines around the world when he announced that a new “world war” had begun…
A French historian who accurately predicted the fall of the Soviet Union more than a decade in advance says World War Three has already begun as a result of the conflict in Ukraine.
The comments were made by Emmanuel Todt, one of France’s leading intellectuals, during an interview with Le Figaro newspaper.
“It is clear that the conflict, initially a limited territorial war, has evolved into a global economic confrontation between the entire West on one side and Russia, supported by China, on the other. It became a world war,” Todd said.
