Transnistria is concerned about the increase in military aid to Moldova and the number of foreign power structures in the region, writes Moldavskie vedomosti.
„On the eve of the European summit scheduled for June 1 in Moldova, additional forces have arrived in the country to ensure the security of the heads of European countries. At the same time, the increase in Western military aid to Moldova and the number of representatives of foreign security services in the region with an unsettled conflict naturally raises concerns.”
This was said by Valery Gebos, Minister of State Security of the unrecognized PMR, in an interview with the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
According to Gebos, Tiraspol has long monitored the presence in Moldova of representatives of foreign law enforcement agencies, whose presence is enshrined in law.
Ukraine and Moldova continue to implement the crisis scenario regarding Transnistria and against the background of the hybrid war, they are speculating on the topic of a military option to resolve the Transnistrian conflict, the minister believes.
„A large-scale information war has been launched against Transnistria using the platforms of Ukraine and Moldova, controlled media, social networks and popular messengers. Systematic work is carried out with young people, as they are the most vulnerable.” – said the representative of Tiraspol.
According to him, under these conditions, the Ministry of State Security systematically works to inform the citizens of the republic about the mechanisms of waging hybrid wars, about the flows of false information used by the opponents of our state for psychological impact on society and the application of various methods, used by information saboteurs to destabilize the situation in the republic.
„We are sure that the people of Moldova do not want a repeat of the events of 1992, and neither do the people of Transnistria. And those who are pushing Chisinau towards a conflict with Transnistria should think about whether another source of tension in Europe is necessary.” Gebos concluded.
