The UN climate conference COP29 will be held in Azerbaijan in November, and the Kremlin has confirmed that Vladimir Putin is considering attending the event. But Ukraine’s ambassador to the EU, Vsevolod Chentsov, has already said that the international community should attend the Baku climate meeting if the Russian president is also present.

“We have to put pressure on it and our partners have to make it clear to Azerbaijan that if Putin is there, they will not come,” – said the Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU in an interview with Politico.

Chentsov’s comments came after media reports suggested Putin was considering taking part in the annual UN climate conference.
