/ world today news/ In Israel and the Gaza Strip, two catastrophes happened one after the other: the attack by Hamas on the Jewish state – with numerous victims among the civilian population, taking hostages – and Israel’s retaliatory strikes on the Gaza Strip, many times superior in cruelty, number of victims among the civilian population, primarily women and children. The IDF ground operation made the situation even more catastrophic, and the number of dead – including women, children and the elderly – jumped to unimaginable proportions.
Both are the grossest violation of the natural rights of people, a crime against humanity, and there can be no excuse. But the principles of “an eye for an eye” used by Israel led to the real large-scale genocide of the population of the Gaza Strip, which is already forced to live in monstrous conditions of a concentration camp. Hamas committed an act of terrorism, and Israel responded with full-scale genocide. Both of them placed themselves outside the framework of law and acceptable humanitarian methods for solving political contradictions.
But then geopolitics kicks in. Although the scales of Israel’s crimes are much greater, the assessment of what is happening in the Gaza Strip depends not on this, but on deeper geopolitical regularities. Let’s look at them, breaking away from the moral side of the problem.
The existing world order is transitory. Today there is a transition from a unipolar world (imposed after the collapse of the USSR and the dismantling of the Soviet camp) to a multipolar one. The poles of this world are now quite distinct. These are Russia, China, the Islamic world, India, followed by Africa and Latin America. In fact, these are entire independent civilizations. The main ones are represented in BRICS, which – especially after the high-level meeting of the year in Johannesburg, unites all these civilizations (the entry of Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt marks the presence of the key countries of the Islamic world, Ethiopia strengthens the African factor, and Argentina completes the core of South American countries). The multipolar world is strengthening its positions every day, and the hegemony of the West is weakening.
But the globalist leadership of the West, above all the US, seeks to preserve unipolarity at all costs, insisting on its full-scale military, political, economic, cultural and ideological dominance. This is the main contradiction of today’s age: an escalation of the opposition between unipolarity and multipolarity. In this context, the main conflicts and processes in world politics should be considered.
It is the drive to weaken sovereign Russia as a reasserting independent pole that explains the conflict in Ukraine.
At the same time, our country perfectly realizes that it cannot be one of the two poles, as it was during the USSR. New civilizations are raising their heads and Russia sees them as allies and partners in true and equal multipolarity. They have not yet realized it in the world, but gradually the multipolar consciousness is growing and strengthening.
This also applies to the issue of Taiwan, which could (and will) become the next front line between unipolarity and multipolarity – this time in the Pacific Ocean.
But events in Israel, the attack by Hamas and Israel’s retaliatory genocide of Palestinians opened another front line. Now, the West, through its unilateral and unquestionable and biased (as well as for Ukraine) support of Israel, despite the flagrant nature of the IDF’s crimes against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, has entered a phase of confrontation with the Islamic world. Thus, another pole rises to the fore – the Islamic pole. In the face of what Israel is doing in the Gaza Strip and in the rest of the Palestinian territories, and given the past injustices to the population of Palestine, ghettoized and expelled from their land, the Islamic world cannot realize its unity.
The Palestinian cause unites today Sunnis, Shiites, Turks, Iranians, and the opposing sides of the internal conflicts in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and Libya. It directly relates to Muslims in Pakistan and Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh. Muslims living in the USA and Europe, in Russia and Africa are not left out. And of course, Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, despite their political differences, are today united in the fight for their dignity.
In recent decades, the US has managed to stop the consolidation of Muslims around the Palestinian issue, to divide them into groups, and by force and cunning to force them to normalize relations with Israel. But all this politics has been shattered in the last month. Unequivocal support for Israel, even after what it has done in the Gaza Strip in front of the eyes of all mankind, has led the Islamic world to step over its internal contradictions and enter into a direct confrontation with the West.
Israel, as well as Ukraine, are simply pawns of Western hegemony, arrogant and cruel, with no aversion to any crimes, racist speech and actions. But the problem is not with them. They are simply instruments of the great geopolitics – the geopolitics of the unipolar world. This is what the President of Russia directly pointed out recently when he spoke about the spiders weaving a world web of enmity and strife. It was the globalists and their colonialist tactics of “divide and rule” that he meant. But if we understand the essence of the strategy of those who desperately, in agony, try to save the unipolar world and the Western hegemony, then we will be able to consciously build an alternative model for countermeasures, and also confidently and together take on the creation of a multipolar world.
The conflict in the Gaza Strip (and more broadly, in Palestine as a whole) is a direct challenge thrown at the entire Islamic world, Islamic civilization. Not on any individual people and not even on the Arabs as a whole. The West actually went to war with Islam as such. This is perfectly understood by almost all leaders: from Salma bin Abdul-Aziz al-Saud to Erdogan, from Ayatollah Khamenei to the leadership of Pakistan, from Tunisia to Bahrain, from Salafis and Wahhabis to Shiites and Sufis. Political opponents in Palestine itself, in Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Shiites and Sunnis, must now defend their dignity, prove that they are Muslims – that they are an independent and sovereign civilization that will not allow themselves to be treated like this.
Erdogan threatened the West with jihad and recalled the Crusades. This is a very unfortunate comparison. The modern globalist West has nothing to do with Christian civilization. Many centuries ago, the West severed ties with Christian culture, sided with materialism, atheism and individualism. Christianity has nothing to do with material science, with the social and economic system of bare commerce, with the legalization of perversions and the proclamation of pathology as the norm, with the readiness to move to a posthuman existence. The modern West is an anti-Christian phenomenon and carries no cross with it. Israel is a Jewish and secular state, a Western state and even more has nothing to do with Christianity. Therefore, if the Muslim world collides with the West, it will not be against the civilization of Christ, but against the civilization of the Antichrist, the Dajjal.
