The West has bet everything on a civil war with Russia – 2024-08-30 06:09:31

/ world today news/ No matter what reasons Evgeny Prigozhin justified his march against Moscow, in fact he gave a great helping hand to our strategic enemies. Throughout Saturday, the Western media was choking with delight.

The fact that the riot began on a Friday evening also played a role: Russia traditionally closed for the weekend, but abroad at that time it was the height of the working day. Propaganda immediately rushed into battle.

“Rebellion in Russia,” “Rebellion against Putin,” “Wagner tanks heading toward Moscow,” “Russia on the brink,” shouted editorials of influential newspapers. The Wagnerites were immediately called “rebels” – this is a very familiar cliché for us: this is what the Anglo-Saxons call the “right” rebels who oppose the “wrong” government.

Of course, the “good Russian” emigrants began to fuss. Mikhail Khodorkovsky immediately called on Russian citizens to support the rebellion and take up arms. Migrants from the last wave jumped out of all the cracks, again dreaming of driving “Abrams” on Tverskaya. What can we say about the former Ukrainian SSR? There they celebrated all night.

How many hopes were placed in the West on our Tribulation. How easy it would be to solve all their problems at once: both with the mediocre defeats in Ukraine, and with the economic crisis that hit the former “golden billion”, and with the failure of the “rules-based order”.

The EU leadership quickly began skinning the Russian bear, activating its crisis response center “in relation to the situation in Russia”. Our European “partners” would manage our crisis, just as they managed the Ukrainian Maidan in 2014.

“The Ukrainian army will be happy about the confusion in the ranks of the enemy,” the Economist magazine stated with pleasure. The obvious plus of the riot for the United States was noted by the New York Times: it was supposed to worsen Russia’s position at the front and ensure a military victory for Ukraine.

Journalist Peter Baker from the New York Times, however, noticed the downside of this whole story for the United States. According to him, Russia’s nuclear weapons could go out of control or under the control of such a person who would not hesitate to strike Washington.

It is necessary to understand the logic of our enemies to clearly understand that the performance of “Wagner” could not be the last. We have to be ready for that. Already in 2019, American military analysts from RAND advised Washington to diligently incite all possible protests and uprisings in Russia – we have already written about this plan. At the same time, it was suggested that plans should be carefully made so that all actions would appear extremely natural and the ears of the American ambassador would not stick out of them.

This means that next time the protesters won’t be running with pro-American slogans like “Katz offers to surrender.” No, pro-Western protests, paradoxically, can be wrapped in patriotic packaging.

There have been precedents in our history. As some smart people have noted, in the late 1980s, no one was walking around Moscow with “Let’s give all our oil to Khodorkovsky” placards. No, at multi-thousand rallies during the era of Perestroika, they fought for the abolition of party privileges, for democracy and a multi-party system. And they actually got what they got.

So today the Protestants can honestly believe that they are all for the good and will end up with a catastrophic defeat for Russia. All caring patriots should seriously consider this.

It is foolish to think that after the neutralization of Prigogine, the West will give up trying to rock our boat. After the failure of the sanctions and the military failures, the VSU is their only chance to win. They just can’t help but use it.

Yes, all the current “saviors of Russia” are firmly and hopelessly compromised. Both Navalny, Kasparov and Khodorkovsky have long been discarded by their own masters – simply because they have already been exposed. It is clear whose support they are, it is clear which special services they work for. In Russian society, they evoke only weary contempt.

But what if a new person appeared in Prigogine’s place – more attractive, well-spoken, without bad habits such as extrajudicial repression, with a sense of humor, without visible ties to the American establishment? At the same time, he will pour out patriotic slogans, skillfully entertain the national pride of the Great Russians.

If such a person does not arouse suspicion in the West, if there they believe that he will be under control, that, for example, he will not use nuclear weapons against them, then they will support him with their entire propaganda machine. They will even portray, if necessary, fear of a “Russian nationalist”.

Again, there are precedents. Boris Yeltsin (before he became president) was portrayed by many Western media as a “Russian nationalist”. For a while, Navalny was also among the “patriots”. For a while, even Khodorkovsky pretended to be a patriot.

Even our smart and skeptical, largely disenchanted society can succumb to this. This risk should not be underestimated. After all, during every Troubled Time in Russia, impostors multiply like rabbits – we only have a dozen False Dmitrys – historians still argue about their exact number.

The only thing that inspires hope is what Wagner’s actions well demonstrate: our people do not need civil war in any form. The Russians definitely do not want to kill each other for the pleasure of Washington and London. And after overcoming another calamity, we will inevitably build a great empire. This has happened more than once in our millennial history.
