By giving Russia an ultimatum, the Russian foreign minister says that “the West does not want to negotiate fairly.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the West is not ready to negotiate fairly, as the proposal for dialogue by Ukraine and its allies amounts to an ultimatum for Moscow.
“Zelensky’s initiative has been known for a long time, it is already well-trodden. It is an ultimatum, pure and simple,” Lavrov said during the ministerial meeting of the Dialogue between Russia and the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf.
“The fact that the West is sticking to this ultimatum means only one thing: the West does not want to negotiate fairly,” the Russian foreign minister said.
